Sagantec releases tool set supporting 65nm, 45nm process design rules

Increased compaction capacity, deep sub-micron features and 64-bit support have delivered working 65nm silicon.

FREMONT, Calif., June 6, 2005 Sagantec, the leader in accelerating deep sub-micron layout and process migration, has released Sagantec Tool Set version 8 (STS8). It is capable of supporting 65 nanometer and 45nm technology design rules, has been used to deliver 65nm silicon, and is being used in an early 45nm engagement.

Large data applications can now benefit from the 64-bit capability in STS8, which supports both the AMD 64-bit Opteron™ processor and the Intel® 64-bit Xeon™ processor.

STS8 enables larger design capacity, higher speeds and deep sub-micron technologies. This new version updates all Sagantec custom IC design products - SiClone™, SiFix™, Companion™ and Anaconda™.

“The ultimate proof of the value of STS8 is that there is working 65nm silicon that has been designed with these tools,” said Hillel Ofek, Sagantec president and chief operating officer. “These advanced technology capabilities can now utilize the power of standard 64-bit"
